Design a Social Activism Campaign

In today’s chaotic world, there are numerous concerns in society that can be addressed by the collective thought and community action. The steps to create impactful change involve awareness and action from a group of committed persons.
Today, Social Media has become a powerful tool for reaching out to a large audience. Through this Pathfinder lab, students will learn how to use their social media profiles to imapct their group of peers and colleagues towards a specific social concern.
From identifying a social cause, to deciding possible ways to address the same, to devising strategies to involve specific groups of people, learners will execute a campaign advocating change!

   • Ways to address social concerns
   • Creating communities: The power of collaborative action.

Program Activities

  • Identifying social concerns
  • Tools for Change – Awareness, Signature Campaigns, Viral Pledges, Social Gatherings
  • Exploring Social Media Differently
  • Advertising tools – communication tools for engaging an audience: using graphics, articles, photos and other tools of communication
  • Building virtual and actual communities
  • Optional: Sessions with a Social Activists, Campaigners and change makers
