Journalism, as a career, requires one to be objective, attentive and observant of happenings in the present and the past.
This Career Pathfinder will help students get aware of social concerns, people, culture and other aspects of environment. Students learn to observe and document events/stories objectively. Through this, they will equip themselves with the skills of ‘composition of photography’, editing photos and videos, and compiling a final communication tool.

Program Activities

  • Creative:
    • Ideating concepts and themes
    • Photography – Composition of Frames, Editing Photos to convey a Story
    • Videography – Composition of Frames, Linear Editing, Adding Basic Effects and Title
  • Technical:
    • Structured information gathering – Identifying and Inter-linking different sides to a story
    • Captioning – Minimizing Word content to accentuate the message in a Photo/Video
  • Optional: Sessions with seasoned Photojournalists and Documentarians
